Pura Vida means pure life, and this trip through Costa Rica's volcanic hot springs, misty cloud forests and Pacific surf beaches is exactly that.
Costa Rica packs more into a small country than almost anywhere else on Earth. This 8-day trip moves through three completely different landscapes, each one more stunning than the last, and strikes the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation.
You start in La Fortuna in the shadow of Arenal Volcano, where you will ride horses through the jungle to one of the most dramatic waterfalls in Central America and soak in Hot Springs, the most natural in La Fortuna, surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. From there the trip moves to Monteverde, one of the most biodiverse cloud forests on the planet. Two days here means learning how coffee, cacao and sugarcane are grown and harvested, hiking through hanging bridges suspended above the rainforest canopy, and spending time at a sloth sanctuary.
The final three days are yours at Santa Teresa, a small beach town on the Pacific coast famous for its world-class surf and warm water. Take a surf lesson, kayak along the coast, soak up the sun on one of the most beautiful beaches in Central America, explore the town, or simply sit and watch the Pacific sunset. Santa Teresa has that effect on people and we have given you plenty of time to enjoy every second of it.
