Prepare for glacier trekking, immersive hiking and camping experiences, canoeing adventures, and more. Each day is filled with thrilling activities amidst breathtaking scenery, from navigating pristine lakes by canoe to trekking through rugged terrain. Join us as we explore majestic glaciers, encounter diverse wildlife, and create unforgettable memories in the untamed beauty of Patagonia. This remote corner of the world is home to some of the most iconic landscapes on our planet and an immersion into them is an experience like no other.


Please note that none of these adventures are considered overly “technical” and are suitable for most individuals comfortable with hiking and exploring the outdoors.

About the adventure

Abby's love for international travel began during a study abroad trip to Europe, but visiting Nepal with Kook has easily been the highlight of her adventures—one of the many reasons she loves supporting these trips.

Originally from Roscoe, Illinois, Abby moved to the scenic landscapes of Idaho in 2020 and has not looked back since. She a licensed massage therapist and certified yoga instructor with a passion for helping people reconnect with their bodies and minds. On her days off, you’ll usually find her practicing yoga, hiking, backpacking, or spending time in the outdoors with her husband and dog.

The outdoors—especially snow-capped mountains—are her favorite playground, and she can’t wait to experience this serene corner of the world with you.

DAY # 1

Arrival and Relax (D)

Upon your arrival in Buenos Aires, we’ll arrange for transportation to pick you up either in the morning or afternoon and take you to the hotel for some rest and a group meeting.

DAY # 2

Buenos Aires City Tour and Exploration Day (B)

We’ll embark on a tour of Buenos Aires, immersing ourselves in its vibrant contrasts and local culture.

Activities:

☯ Explore iconic landmarks including Plaza de Mayo, the Presidential Palace, the historic Cabildo, the elegant Metropolitan Cathedral, Puerto Madero, the renowned opera house, and much more.

☯ Enjoy lunch at a vibrant restaurant featuring lively tango music on a bustling street.

DAY # 3

Transfer to El Chalten (B)

Today we will embark on our journey through the country and make our way down to the heavenly landscapes.

Activities:

☯ You’ll start the day with a transfer to the Buenos Aires domestic airport to catch your flight to El Calafate. From there, a private vehicle and English-speaking guide will accompany you on a scenic drive to El Chaltén.

☯ We plan to arrive in the afternoon—perfect timing for a short, guided hike to stretch your legs and soak in the views. You might explore the Eagles & Condors viewpoint, trek to Piedras Blancas, or visit the charming Casa Museo Madsen.


About El Chaltén:

Nestled in the heart of Patagonia, El Chaltén is known as the “Trekking Capital of Argentina.” Surrounded by dramatic peaks, sparkling lakes, and ancient glaciers, this laid-back town offers the perfect mix of adventure and small-town charm. Cozy lodges, welcoming cafés, and gear shops line the streets, creating an ideal base for outdoor lovers

DAY # 4

Full day Trek Laguna Los Tres (B, L, D)

Today you will do 1/2 of your overnight trekking experience. This will be the most immersive part of your Patagonia trip as you will spend two days in the mountains.


Activities:

☯ Lace up your boots for one of Patagonia’s most iconic hikes! After meeting your local guide, you'll transfer to the Río Eléctrico bridge—your trailhead for the day. The journey begins with a steady two-hour trek offering stunning views of the Piedras Blancas Glacier and its serene lagoon.

☯ From there, continue on to Laguna Capri and then push onward to the crown jewel:

Laguna de los Tres

☯ At the end of the day, you’ll settle in for the night under the stars at the private Campamento Base Poincenot.

DAY # 5

Half- day Trek Laguna Los Tres (B, L,)

Today we will embark on the second half of our trekking experience and end in El Chalten for a cozy dinner.

Activities:

☯ Start your day at Poincenot Camp, where the early morning light provides the perfect opportunity for breathtaking panoramic photos of Mount Fitz Roy. After breakfast, we’ll set off on a scenic trek to Laguna Torre, passing by the stunning Lagunas Madre and Hija (Mother and Daughter Lakes).

☯ The walk to Laguna Torre takes about 3 hours, and we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch by the lake before making our way back to El Chaltén via the Laguna Torre trail and the Torre viewpoint. This hike is easier than Day 1, taking about 6-8 hours with an elevation gain of 400-600 meters, making it a moderate trek for most.

☯ In the evening, we’ll transfer back to El Calafate. The drive takes around 2.5 hours, giving you time to reflect on the day’s adventure.Please Note:

➤ In March, sunrise is around 07:30 a.m., so we’ll start our day early to catch the best light.

Located in Argentine Patagonia, El Calafate is a charming town known for its stunning natural beauty. It’s the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park and home to the famous Perito Moreno Glacier. Surrounded by vast icy expanses, turquoise lakes, and rugged mountains, the town offers a range of amenities for travelers, including cozy accommodations, delicious regional cuisine, and a variety of adventure activities, from trekking to glacier tours.

DAY # 6

El Calafate Glacier Trekking (B, L)

Today will be a full day of adventure as we embark on an iconic tour of the local glaciers and ice fields.

Activities:

☯ Get ready for an unforgettable experience as we head out from your hotel to explore the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier. Along the way, experienced guides will share fascinating insights into the region’s history, geology, and unique landscape.

☯ After a scenic boat ride across Lago Rico, we’ll hike along the shoreline, taking in the surrounding beauty before gearing up with crampons for a once-in-a-lifetime glacier hike. You’ll explore icy crevasses, deep blue formations, and hidden glacier features with your guide leading the way.

☯ After the glacier trek, we’ll return to the refuge via a peaceful walk through the Patagonian Andean forest, crossing a footbridge tucked beneath the trees. The adventure wraps up with a visit to the iconic footbridges, where you can take in sweeping panoramic views of the glacier and surrounding wilderness.

DAY # 7

El Calafate- Ushuaia (B)

Today we will spend the morning exploring the charming town of El Calafate before heading to the airport.

Activities:

 ☯ At the appointed time, we’ll transfer you to the El Calafate airport to catch your flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. After settling in, your afternoon adventure begins with a boat departure from the local port to explore the Beagle Channel.

☯ First stop: Alicia Island, home to a playful colony of fur seals. From there, we’ll cruise to Isla de los Pájaros, where royal and imperial cormorants nest in striking numbers. Along the way, we’ll pass by the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse and spot two-haired sea lions lounging on nearby rocky shores

☯ You’ll then disembark at Bridges Island, where a short interpretive trail introduces you to the area’s native plants, birds, and even the largest Yamana shell middens in the region. After taking in panoramic views of Ushuaia and the surrounding landscape, we’ll return to the port to wrap up this scenic and wildlife-rich excursion.

Welcome to Ushuaia, the southernmost city on Earth—nestled between the Martial Mountains and the Beagle Channel. This vibrant town is the gateway to Tierra del Fuego National Park and Antarctica expeditions. Known for its dramatic landscapes, rich wildlife, and outdoor adventure opportunities, Ushuaia is truly where the world begins.

DAY # 8

Ushuaia National Park and Trekking and Canoe (B, L)

Today you will have a full day national park excursion with a hike, lunch in a heated dome, and exciting canoe trip.

Activities:

☯ After a scenic 10 km drive from Ushuaia, we’ll arrive at the breathtaking Tierra del Fuego National Park for a full-day exploration of its highlights. Our adventure begins with an 8 km hike along the Coastal Path, offering sweeping views and intimate encounters with the region’s pristine nature.

☯ Midway through the day, we’ll pause for a well-deserved break and enjoy lunch along the serene shores of the Lapataia River—served inside a cozy heated dome with panoramic vistas of the surrounding wilderness.

☯ Energized and ready for the next leg of the journey, we’ll gear up for a one-hour canoeing experience on Lake Acigami. From there, we’ll paddle through the tranquil Lapataia and Ovando Rivers, ultimately arriving at Lapataia Bay—where the legendary Pan-American Highway (Route 3) comes to its southernmost end.

☯ After soaking in the dramatic landscape and completing this memorable day of hiking and paddling, we’ll return to your hotel or a central location of your choice.

DAY # 9

Ushuaia- Buenos Aires (B)

You will transfer from Ushuaia back to Buenos Aires this day by flight.

Activities:

☯ At the agreed time, a private transfer will take you to Ushuaia Airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at the local domestic airport, a connecting transfer will bring you to your accommodation for the night.

Fly back to the USA! (B)

Activities:

☯ Most flights do not take off until the evening, so you will have another day to explore Buenos Aires and find a cute spot for lunch.
